As a veteran of end-to-end projects, he has co-authored several books about Power BI, Analysis Services, and Power Pivot with Alberto Ferrari. He holds the prestigious Microsoft MVP award and SSAS Maestro certification, the highest level of certification on Microsoft Analysis Services. A regular speaker at international conferences including Microsoft Ignite, PASS Summit, and SQLBits.

Andrea Benedetti, former head of the Business Intelligence team in Microsoft Western Europe's professional services division, was the Technical Evangelism Director at Microsoft Italy. Today he focuses on data strategy for Enterprise clients. Before joining Microsoft, he was recognized by the Seattle company as MVP (Most Valuable Professional) from 2004 to 2012, and contributed to the birth of the national reference community for data platform technologies. He has spoken, and continues to speak, at numerous workshops, conferences, seminars and roadshows. Passionate about mountaineering (solo) and ultra trail running.
